Lindsy van Dyk
Gym Manager, ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Lindsy Pearce is an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer and a USA Weightlifting Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with six years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Throughout her career, she has served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for golf, tennis, and baseball programs, while also working as a strength and conditioning/speed and agility trainer for various local youth sport programs. Additionally, Lindsy has worked as a personal trainer, focusing on training individuals and groups in proper form, techniques, and mental attitude. With a passion for health and fitness, Lindsy works with clients of all ages and fitness levels, believing that it provides an opportunity for everyone to discover the best version of themselves. Drawing from her experience as an athlete, her education in body mechanics, and her fervor for fitness, Lindsy is dedicated to developing the fitness of others in her career.

Jacob Reynolds
Assistant Manager, Certified VertiMax and Basketball Trainer

Jacob Reynolds is a Certified Basketball Trainer and owner of The Study. Jacob relocated to Fort Smith in 2021 following five years of service in the US Army. Transitioning into his career, Jacob specializes as a Basketball Skills Trainer, catering to K-12 athletes and collegiate players alike. His training regimen emphasizes all-around skill development, basketball IQ enhancement, and simulation of game scenarios. Certified by Ganon Baker, 94FeetOfGame, USA Basketball, and Vertimax, Jacob brings a wealth of expertise to his coaching endeavors.

Brent Pearce

With over 15 years of experience as a Certified Tennis Professional certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association, Brent Pearce has dedicated himself to nurturing tennis talent in Fort Smith. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of coaching numerous youths and adults, guiding seven athletes to successful collegiate tennis programs. Presently, Brent specializes in training juniors and adults for both competitive endeavors and recreational enjoyment. Brent’s expertise extends to running specialty programs like cardio tennis, beginner clinics, tennis and pickleball leagues, and engaging mixers. Whether you’re looking to improve your tennis game or dive into pickleball, feel free to reach out to Brent for lessons!

Terry Bogner
Head Pickleball Pro

Terry Bogner brings over six years of pickleball experience to the court, having immersed himself in the sport and competed in numerous tournaments for the past three years. With a track record of participating in over 100 tournament pickleball events, Terry’s expertise is undeniable. Throughout his life, Terry has been a teacher of many subjects, but it’s teaching pickleball that truly ignites his passion. He takes pride in offering comprehensive guidance, demonstrating alternative techniques, and explaining the nuances behind strategic decisions. Terry firmly believes that there’s no singular approach to mastering pickleball, and he’s dedicated to sharing his knowledge to help others excel in the sport.

Liza Holman
Barre

Liza Holman, a seasoned instructor with over 11 years of experience, teaches a dynamic Barre class aimed at toning, strengthening, and tightening various muscle groups including arms, legs, buttocks, and abdominals. Emphasizing flexibility and balance, her classes are not only beneficial for overall fitness but also for enhancing performance in sports like tennis and pickleball.

Welcoming both newcomers and seasoned participants, Liza finds joy in guiding individuals through their fitness journey. She encourages everyone to give Barre a chance, promising increased stamina and energy levels as a result of consistent practice.

Jennifer Nesbit and Jill Waters
Barre

Jennifer Nesbit and Jill Waters, collectively boasting over 15 years of experience in teaching Barre, bring a wealth of expertise to their classes. With backgrounds encompassing Pilates, Yoga, and multiple Barre certifications, Jennifer and Jill have honed their skills not only through teaching but also through owning BarreONE Fitness in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and engaging in class fitness and personal training.

Sarah Garlow
Yoga

Sarah Garlow’s introduction to yoga commenced during a period of injury recovery, where the practice not only restored her mobility but also ignited a deep passion within her. With six years of teaching experience in Fort Smith, Sarah’s approach to yoga centers around finding equilibrium between strength and flexibility. Emphasizing functional movement to bolster resilience against injury, Sarah specializes in teaching vinyasa, or flow, style yoga, ensuring participants experience a dynamic session characterized by movement, perspiration, and focused breathing.

In Sarah’s class, participants can anticipate a guided journey through exercises designed to cultivate strength, balance, and flexibility, fostering a holistic approach to physical well-being.

Debbie Barthol
Strength & Tone

Debbie is a dedicated group fitness instructor, passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to fitness and wellness. With a diverse background encompassing strength/tone, yoga, barre, and water aerobics, Debbie brings a wealth of expertise to her classes. Committed to staying updated with the latest fitness trends and techniques, she has attended numerous Continuing Education Credit (CEC) workshops to refine her skills and design innovative fitness programs.

Debbie holds a 200-Hour Yoga Training certification and has completed the Total Barre Instructor Foundation Course, earning her a Certificate of Completion in both disciplines. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active through workouts, hiking, and traveling, as well as cherishing moments with her family and friends.

In her classes, Debbie offers a dynamic and inclusive environment where participants of all levels are welcome. Her class description promises an opportunity to enhance muscular strength and endurance while sculpting muscles using a variety of equipment such as dumbbells, steps, bands, gliders, stability balls, and more. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned fitness enthusiast, Debbie’s class provides a supportive space to work towards your fitness goals.

Chris Stuart
Tennis

Chris Stuart is a distinguished tennis professional, holding certifications from both the USPTA and PTR. Serving as the President of USPTA Arkansas, he is deeply involved in advancing the sport within the region. With specialized training in Adaptive and Wheelchair tennis, Chris demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the sport. Additionally, he prioritizes safety as a Net Generation Safe-play Certified coach. Chris’s passion for tennis was evident early on, as he pursued his education at Henderson State University while also contributing his skills to the collegiate tennis team. His dedication to the sport and his community continues to inspire those around him.

Wian van Dyk
Tennis

Wian van Dyk, hailing from Pretoria, South Africa, has been immersed in the world of tennis since the tender age of 5. Beginning his competitive journey at 9, he swiftly rose to international prominence by the age of 16. At 18, Wian embarked on a new chapter in Fort Smith, Arkansas, joining The University of Arkansas Fort Smith’s men’s tennis team on a prestigious scholarship. Throughout his five-year tenure, he showcased his exceptional talent, consistently excelling as the #1 doubles player and transitioning to #2 singles during his freshman and sophomore years before claiming the #1 singles position for the subsequent three years. Notably, Wian achieved impressive UTR ratings, reaching a high of 12.8 for singles and 11.9 for doubles.

Following his collegiate success, Wian’s passion for tennis led him to pursue coaching as his next endeavor. In 2022, he obtained his Professional Tennis Registry Certification and has since dedicated himself to coaching full-time, imparting his expertise and love for the game to aspiring players. With a rich background in both playing and teaching, Wian continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of tennis enthusiasts.

Farrell Grave
Tennis

Farrell Grave’s tennis teaching career spans 50 years and at least three generations of players in the Fort Smith area. He started playing at age 27 and was ranked Arkansas’ No. 1 in doubles in 35-plus and 45-plus age divisions.

He began teaching tennis at Creekmore Park in the early 1970s. About five years later, he was hired as the sole tennis professional and manager for the Fort Smith Racquet Club, which then had just four outdoor courts and a tiny office. A few years later, he and two partners bought the facility and for many years managed what became the Fort Smith Athletic Club. They built two indoor courts and expanded to five indoor. They also added four outdoor hard courts and two clay courts.

A U.S. Professional Tennis Association certified instructor, Farrell was inducted into the Arkansas Tennis Hall of Fame in 2003. He served on the Arkansas Tennis Association’s state board for several years. In January this year, he received the state’s Henry Doyle Outstanding Senior Award given to one Arkansas senior tennis player who has contributed greatly to the game and inspires others.
